About Us.
BCCT strives to be the best community theatre by enriching, entertaining and educating our communities through outstanding theatrical experiences featuring youth actors.
Founded in 1992, BCCT was started by a mother-daughter team who shared their love of theatre with the children of Ocean and Monmouth counties. BCCT has grown into the most beloved theatre group in the area.
Today, our team consists of our Creative Director, professionals from the community and a dedicated group of parent volunteers who make all of the magic happen. In addition, the Board of Directors keeps the organization humming behind the scenes.

James M. Keating Memorial Scholarship
It takes an ensemble to make a show!
The literal translation of the word ensemble means "together". While everyone would love to be the lead, in the ensemble you work as a group to bring the whole story together. To build something larger than oneself is so important and takes great ensemble members who bring 100% of their heart and soul to the show. This scholarship was established in 2022 by the Keating family in memory of their nephew James. The Keatings selected a graduating senior who best exemplifies the spirit of the ensemble, and in turn, the heart of BCCT, to receive this special scholarship. The inaugural scholarship winner is Grace Zarrilli.
The Bob and Kathy DiGrigoli BCCT STAGES Scholarships
. This scholarship was established by our former set designer Bob DiGrigoli and his wife Kathy. Through their generosity aspiring young performers will receive a scholarship to BCCT Stages to take classes in acting, musical theatre or voice. The 2022-23 scholarships were awarded to Noelle Coburn, Lindsay Giovine, Joshua McGrath and Juliet Kachoogian.
The Tobe Campagno Memorial Scholarship
This special scholarship was presented in 2016 to a graduating senior selected by Loretta Campagno, Tobe’s mother and our Production Manager, and Heather Campagno, Tobe’s sister and our Director. The recipient was Domink Faruolo.
BCCT 25th Anniversary Scholarship
This special scholarship was presented in 2017 in honor of our 25th Anniversary. A scholarship committee read and scored the essays written by the graduating seniors and selected the recipients. The recipients were Michael Luckhowec and Izzy Mizell.

Outstanding show last night. Loved all the singing and dancing. I don’t know how those kids did all those stunts. I was scared just watching. Can’t wait for another show today.

BRAVO!!! BCCT has outdone themselves! Elf, Jr. (2015) was FANTASTIC!!! This was our third show of theirs and the best yet! The young man who played Buddy was OUTRAGEOUS! Not sure if tickets are available for tomorrow, but if you don’t have tickets you should definitely look into it. You won’t be sorry! Once again, BCCT does NOT disappoint! (my son loved it so much he had the cast autograph his program on the way out!)

We were at theater yesterday afternoon for MARY POPPINS and I had a wonderful time....Awesome performance.... Blew me away.... Thank You for a great afternoon... Bravo....
~ Denise
At a very young age, our daughter declared that she wanted “to be in a real performance!” and BCCT has given her that opportunity. Her sense of pride when she walks out on stage is priceless in the eyes of a parent. She has found a place to expend her creative energy and on your stage our daughter is proud to be who she is. We hope you always pursue your endeavors to produce first class shows, but most importantly, to touch the lives of the children of our community.

My husband and I have been attending musicals since we met. When our child was born we continued to attend musicals as a threesome. Whenever I would see children on stage I would think how much we would enjoy seeing our daughter on stage one day. That dream came true this year. I bought tickets for my husband and I for every performance. That first night I cried before the curtain opened. I cried when Dorothy sang (and she’s not my daughter!). Our experience with BCCT has been fabulous, and I would LOVE to continue to sit in the audience of a BCCT production. I have seen firsthand how much hard work is put into the shows, and I have seen the results of that hard work on the faces of those children on stage. Thank you for allowing my daughter to be a part of your dream.
~ Lynn
I would just like to say congratulations to the entire cast and crew of The Wizard of Oz. I had the pleasure of watching your last performance on Saturday night and it was outstanding. It was evident that you put in a lot of time and hard work this summer. I look forward to many more great shows in the future!
~ Gina
